Bid Checking Service

Many funders recommend that a third person checks over a funding bid before it is submitted.  It is important to remember that when you submit a finding proposal, the person assessing it does not know as much about your proposed project and your organisation as you do, and all they have to go on is the information that you provide.

After spending hours writing a bid, the last thing you want to happen is for a bid to be rejected due to a small mistake or slip up such as the figures in the budget not adding up, a missing small piece of information or the bid assessor not understanding what you are trying to say to them.

We provide a bid checking service to provide you impartial feedback against five criteria:

  1.  Is the bid constructed in a  clear, easy to read style?
  2.  Is it easy to understand the points you are putting across?
  3.  Are your answers providing the information that the funder is requesting?
  4.  Does your bid demonstrate clear outcomes relevant to the funding criteria linked to your project’s or organisation’s activities?
  5.  Do the numbers make sense, and add up in the budgets and any requested demographic information?
